How To Choose The Right Rubber Hose For You?

First, work pressure. When conveying materials, due to the flow rate of the material and the inner diameter of the hose, the rubber hose must withstand a certain pressure, which can be divided into positive pressure and negative pressure, so the hose is generally divided into low-pressure hose and high-pressure hose. The rated working pressure of the hose we choose must be greater than the actual working pressure, because once the pressure exceeds the maximum working pressure of the hose, it will cause damage to the hose, which may lead to rupture, damage, and even serious breaking accidents.

Second, the shape. The conventional type of rubber pipe is generally a straight pipe, and other shapes of rubber pipe are collectively called special-shaped pipes. A straight pipe is a rubber pipe with no bending of the entire pipe body and no obvious change in the inner diameter. Special-shaped pipes refer to rubber pipes other than straight pipes, such as reducers with varying inner diameters, planar elbows with plane bending, and some three-dimensional bent bends. When we use it, we must choose a hose with a suitable shape, otherwise if the hose is bent forcibly, the hose wall may be damaged, other damage may occur, and the pressure of each part of the hose may change, which may exceed the designed working pressure range of the hose.

3. Length. As for the length of the rubber tube, we all know that it is not possible to use it if it is too long, but some people think that it is okay, but in fact this is a wrong idea. Even if the hose can withstand this degree of bending, the pressure of the bent part of the hose will increase to a certain extent when conveying materials, so the working pressure that the hose can withstand in its normal form may not be able to withstand when bending.

Precautions for rubber hose application: 1. Rubber hose and rubber tube assembly should not be used under pressure that exceeds the planned working pressure. 2. Under normal circumstances, the temperature of the medium conveyed by the hose and the hose assembly should not exceed -40-120°, otherwise the service life will be shortened. 3. The rubber pipe and rubber pipe assembly should not be used at a bending radius smaller than the rubber pipe, so as not to bend or warp near the pipe joint, otherwise it will hinder the hydraulic transmission and material transportation or damage the rubber pipe assembly. 4. The rubber pipe and rubber pipe assembly should be handled carefully, and should not be dragged, bent or flattened on a sharp and rough surface. 5. The rubber tube and rubber tube assembly should be kept clean, and the inside should be cleaned. Prevents foreign objects from entering the lumen, obstructing liquid delivery and damaging equipment.
